Current Status
I am a prolific freelance artist and have been involved in projects creating characters and animations. I had to create 2 characters for a BBC2 tv show called ‘No Hats No Trainers’, they wanted to have some short animated idents with some characters, the designs were given to me and I had to follow them accurately in modelling. I have also created many videos for a Media company called ‘Clickthrough Marketing’, which are used to boost their image. I was approached with basic concepts and had to come up with some creative yet smart animation style. These animations were received with high praise.

Skills
I use the following 3D Applications:
Autodesk Maya, Autodesk 3DS Max, Pixologic Zbrush, Maxon Bodypaint 3D and Headus UV Layout, dRaster Nex, XNormal.
I use the following 2D Applications:
Adobe Photoshop, Crazybump, Eyeon Fusion, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Encore.

Employment
2009 – 2010 Freelance Artist
• Primarily focusing in Modeling and Texturing.
• Creating art from designs as well as input myself.
• Dealing with clients.

2008 – 2009 3D Modeler at Uniform (Architectural and Visualisation)
• 3D People Project – I worked as the primary artist on R&D towards a library of improved 3D characters that would be used for all future projects that required the use of 3D people.
• Various Animation Projects – I modelled various specific objects for animation projects.
• Ongoing development of the model and texture library, modelling objects such as furniture, electronic equipment etc. The modelling required 3 versions of each model with different poly counts.

Qualifications
2005 – 2008 BA Digital Animation at the University of Hertfordshire, UK (3 Years)
• This course allowed me to develop my skills towards modelling, texturing and lighting using 3ds Max, Maya, Photoshop, and Zbrush along with broadening my mind to artistic possibilities.
• The 1st and 2nd year required me to finish numerous projects ranging from low poly game models to high poly architectural models and texturing.
• During my 2nd year I was involved in creating a short animation within a team and was primarily responsible for character modelling, creating shaders and character animation.
• During my 2nd and 3rd years I created two animations which I made individually completed from pre to post-production, given under 4 months each. Again these were character based. But I learned valuable lessons in time management and organising my workflow. 3ds max was used as the primary 3d application, but I started learning Maya during the 3rd year.

Hobbies and Interests

Apart from creating digital art, I enjoy socialising, team orientated activities, mountain hiking, travelling, reading and watching great entertainment. I have also presented a radio show for 6 months on Crush 1278 am which is the University of Hertfordshire’s radio station, this was great fun and overcame a fear from which it seemed intimidating to present it in a clear and fun manner.
