Blog acting as my Temporary Portfolio Site

My name is Alexander McCarthy and I have recently finished my BA Digital Animation degree at the University of Hertfordshire. I am a very keen artist with a great passion for Digital art especially in 3D modeling and digital sculpting. Art itself is something that I have always enjoyed, the special understanding of the world that surrounds us which we all have is a unique thing to express. Digital art is a medium in which this can be achieved through a high level of detail and the tools used allow so much control over the work that can be created, also it is an ever evolving medium in which I find challenging and enjoyable to learn new softwares and use the latest technologies.

This Blog serves as a temporary website for me to display my latest works such as still renders and animations while an actual website is still under construction.

I am currently looking to start my career, after three years University projects, I have become ever more eager and confident to join a professional workplace and to complete projects that are team based and display a vast array of problems to face, which I enjoy solving.

I'd like to enter any of the major and more creative industries such as Games, Film and Advertising, which enable me to work on fun and exciting new projects. Games allows a unique outlook on how to create a detailed and visually impressive world in which a high level of understanding on how things are shaped to create high quality effects in restricted forms. But due to the methods used today, High poly modeling and scultping attract me to Games as well as Films and Advertising.
